Just watched this earlier today based on friend's recommendation - loved it! Listening to the tone of the self-description vs. that of another person's description was interesting. Tightness v. generosity. Thanks, Rhonda.
I too saw it earlier this week and I immediately felt that every woman needed to see this. I didn't pick up on the intonation of the voices. I'm going to have to listen again. One thing I also picked up on is how mothers speak to their children about how they look. I think that for most, they are only trying to be helpful, but their words can have such a negative effect.
This video has moved me, tears are running down my cheeks. It's so real. I have many friends or acquaintances who are with so many defects that never fail to be happy with themselves. The truth is that I do not feel pretty, but I do not think I'm ugly, I accept myself and try to make the best of what nature has given me and between it is happiness that we carry within us each themselves and see the positive side of things, because as you well know life throws obstacles in the way, but even these tests can always get some positive experience
Lovely and so true. What a lovely way to end my evening. Once again, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI thought this was so powerful. Glad you liked it.
