Good Morning Everyone!!! The Wednesday Showcase post is coming up and I have two incredible ladies to introduce you to....as usual, but I wanted to first of all say thank you for all the lovely compliments on Paco's Treky dress. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
A number of you asked a few questions. One question was what fabric did I use. It's a knit. The dress should be made from a knit fabric. My fabric is just a plain cotton knit. I wish it had a little Lycra in it as the Lycra helps the fabric to hold its shape a bit better.
I was also asked about the alteration I made on the shoulder and also about the closure I did with the loops and the buttons. I love the dress so much that I would not mind having another so I thought I would do a step by step post of my process if you would like. I can also show you how I sewed the yoke facing so that I had minimal hand stitching. Just leave a comment on this post and let me know if you would like for me to do this.
Thanks again for all of the lovely compliments, but I must say that the credit goes to Paco. He really did create a lovely pattern.
yes please Rhonda. I learn so much from watching how you change things
ReplyDeleteThis dress is tdf. Congratulations. I certainly wouls love a step by step.
ReplyDeleteLove the color and the fit! That looks fabulous on you.
ReplyDeleteI love the dress, Rhonda. Your blog is great too. I have also had trouble finding an invisible zipper to match. My solution is to paint a matching nail polish over the zipper pull, since that's all that is visible anyway.
ReplyDeleteYes, please!
ReplyDeleteA step by step of the process would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteGive us the works. Absolutely beautiful - tempted to order it...........Lydia
