The suit is off my body and out of my hands, on its way to an adventure without me. I originally posted about this jacket here, and here.
As I packed the jacket and skirt, I took pictures, just to remember. So pretty, even if I say so myself.
And oh so much work. All the channels of quilting, all the hand sewn seams.
The beautiful chain that holds the hem in place so well.
Such pretty buttons from a lovely sewist who suffered far too much from breast cancer.
The skirt was folded and placed in the box first.
Saying goodbye to my jacket. Oh my, it's difficult to see her in a box.
All packed now and on her way to a glorious adventure. Have a wonderful time little suit!!
I'll share more when I can. Isn't it funny how when we really need something wonderful to happen...it does.
You've piqued my curiosity!!

Mine too! Where in the world is your sweet little suit going?
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know as soon as I can! It's a really good thing though.
DeleteHow wonderful and can't wait to hear more!
ReplyDeleteHmmm--will the suit go on an adventure and then find its way back to you? Or will it never return? It is such a gorgeous suit, Rhonda (and I say this as one who has seen it in real life!).
ReplyDeleteThis definitely sounds intriguing!

ReplyDelete? ? I'm positive this was all done for a very good reason by a good person for a good person. But I'm intrigued.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a tease! Gorgeous BTW, the colors look great on you and the fit and craftsmanship is impeccable. I am sure that you are doing what is best for good. Sometimes what's best is "God speed"
ReplyDeleteBut, I'm waiting with baited breath.
