Monday Morning Inspiration

A Rose In Winter
Back in November I shared with you the instructions for making the John Koch Rose.

It's a beautiful rose, and quite easy to do, but there's nothing like learning from the master, and now you can have that opportunity. If you live in Chicago, near Chicago or don't mind coming to Chicago, John is offering his rose class next Saturday, January 14, 2012. The class is a full day class 9:30 to 4:00. The cost of the class is a bargain, $55.00. As many of you know, I've taken quite a few of John's classes. You will leave with information and knowledge that far exceeds the cost of the class. John is probably the most generous person I know as well as one of the most gifted. His studio is a feast for the eyes. This is a not to be missed opportunity. If you are interested, you can contact John at his studio. The number is (773)275-4151.
I found some wonderful ideas of things that can be done with the John Koch Rose.

How about a lovely shoe clip? A wonderful way to add a truly feminine flair to a pair of shoes.

Or a lovely headband. I couldn't enlarge the picture below,
but I found the pictures below. You don't need to be a child to wear this. This would be lovely on anyone.

Anya of Couture Millinery Atelier posted this lovely picture of one of her hats. I highly recommend her blog. It is a feast for the eyes. Her hats are featured in Vogue. What a treat it would be to own one of her creations or attend one of her classes. She too seems to be quite generous with her talent and is obviously very gifted. I especially love the use of the netting over the roses.
Here's another lovely idea for a rose in winter. Pin one on to a fur collar.
Isn't this dress spectacular? How lovely it would be to have a garland of silk roses adorning a beautiful dress.
This is another beautiful idea. Now this is a statement hat!! I am in love with this hat.
Happy Monday Everyone. Wishing you a week full of inspiration!
