Here's a picture of the skirt when it was in the weaving process.
The faux fur collar was done for a Thrifty Thursday post. You can see it as well as find the pattern here.Everyone was commenting about my hair. The truth of the matter was that I dried it without straightening it out and it was HUGE, so I pulled it up and called it a day.
The bracelet that I'm wearing is handmade, but not by me. It's a vintage piece that was made with glass buttons and then crocheted together with a gold elastic thread. All in all, a simple outfit that was fun to wear and felt so festive.

ReplyDeleteI will post some pictures of the bracelet. It's really quite pretty. One of those accidental resale shop finds.
DeleteSuch a fun ensemble!
ReplyDeleteLove the ribbon weaving. That is my absolute favorite way to make fabric!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing, as always, and you KNOW I love your hair!
ReplyDeleteWhat holds all the ribbons together? Are they sewn to a backing?
Praying for you!
Hugs, Joy
Hi Joy, and thanks for the prayers. I can use all I can get. As for the skirt, I'm going to do a post on ribbon weaving. The ribbon is on a backing, but only seen around the outside edge of the piece once it has been woven.
Deletethe skirt (and collar) are amazing! I'll look forward to the ribbon weaving post.
