ReplyDeleteThe prizes are amazing!! Yes, by all means, go for it.
DeleteThis is wonderful! I'll be looking foward to see your work and .. of course, I wish you good luck, dear Rhonda.
ReplyDeleteLove it. Love it. Love it.
ReplyDeleteOH wow ..Looking forward to seeing all work and what will progress with this ! amazing !
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great way to find iut about indie companies and to sew something amazing. I can't wait to see what people make. xx
ReplyDeleteWow, sounds exciting. Do you need to start with an indie pattern to hack?
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki, yes, the rules say that you may choose any pattern from one of the participating pattern companys. It can be a purchased or free pattern.
DeleteGreat roundup! I am eyeing a couple of indie pattern companies--Salme Patterns and SBCC. I also might give the Cambie dress from Sewaholic a whirl, since I've been so interested in sweetheart necklines lately!
ReplyDeleteI doubt want to sound rude - and there are notable exceptions - but many of the Indi patterns are over priced, extremely basic and not particularly original. Ralphpink and Paco Peralta are not on your list?!
ReplyDeleteHi Gail, you probably don't know that Paco is very ill and unable to do anything for the time being.
DeleteThis particular group of pattern makers was collected by Mari Miller of Seamster Patterns. It's true that most are newbees with only a few basic patterns, and others declined to participate. We hope you'll join in for the sake of those notable exceptions?
DeleteThanks for being the host for this category Rhonda. This is my favourite category I love pattern hacking . I do it most of the time :D. I made a Polly top and added it to the list :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda, I hacked Tilly and the Buttons' Mathilde blouse for your 'Pattern Hacking' category for Sewing Indie Month. Please take a look!
