On Friday, I had a little shopping that I had to do and I was so very pleased to find exactly what I needed and then...more than I needed ;), but that can be fabric shopping! It's either feast or famine! So I thought I would give you a little show and tell this morning.
It's pretty easy to guess that this is for a lingerie project, two separate garments in case you are wondering. It'll be a while before I can share the finished garments, so this one is a stay tuned project. Don't you just hate it when you are watching a program, you're totally engrossed and then they say, "to be continued?" But I want to know now!!!!
I'm going to make the Seamster Avocado Hoodie out of this fabric. I tested the pattern for Mari and I really liked it. I can't believe I'm saying this, but...fall is just around the corner and I am going to be looking for something warm to wear. Wasn't I JUST talking about how cold it was???
By the way, if you would like a chance to win a copy of the Sew News magazine, there's still time, so leave a comment here.
One last show and tell item. I always enjoy a knitting project over the summer. Yes, I know I'm crazy, I should probably be knitting in the winter and not the summer. I do knit over the winter, but I enjoy doing something over the summer and having it to wear once the temps get cool enough to wear it. The front, back and a partial sleeve are finished. I'm planning to do a horizontal band of the cables around the bottom of the sweater. I didn't fall far from my Celtic roots as I do love cables ;) You may remember this sweater coat I made a few years ago.
That's it for my show and tell. Enjoy your Sunday!
