The Clam Shell Wristlet Pattern Is On Sale!!!

Last month I was invited to attend my first ever American Sewing Guild meeting. The ladies were so very nice, but then most sewing ladies are:) Their project was something that interested me. They were making evening bags for a charitable organization called The Glass Slipper Project. Each year this organization gives out free prom dresses along with shoes and bags. One aspect of dressing that they stress is dressing appropriately. I like that. So I volunteered to make 5 bags for donation and I used my little Clam Shell Wristlet pattern. You can see my little bags hanging in the tree below.
Various fabrics were used. This one is a woven metallic fabric.
The bag pictured below is my favorite.
The little bags below are made from a stiffer metallic fabric, a little like faux leather. I lined them with the fabric that I used for the bag above.
You may have noticed that the Clam Shell Wristlet is once again listed in my Etsy shop. Here's the good news, I'm running a little sale on the pattern. At check out, just enter the coupon code AprilShowers for a 50% discount!!!  I thought I would run the sale since so many are making bags for proms, weddings and graduations. The sale will continue throughout the month of April. Be sure to click on Sewbussted and not Etsy in order to be directed to my shop. Enjoy!!
