OOTD, Walking Rectangles Skirt

I had a funeral to attend today, so I have yet to finish my Sleeves On Saturday post. I wore the skirt that I posted yesterday to the funeral today, so I thought I would share a few views of the skirt.
The skirt as you saw it yesterday.
The pictures were taken after I had sat in it for most of the afternoon, but all in all, the skirt withstood all the sitting.
Even the back stood up to all the sitting.
The sweater is a vintage sweater that I've had for quite a long time. It's almost impossible to acquire wonderful vintage pieces at a reasonable price. I tried to bid on a top that I found on Ebay and in the final moments it went for $180.00. Incredible. Makes me cherish what I have all the more.
A nod to Shams of  http://www.communingwithfabric.blogspot.com/ . She usually throws in a movement shot. The skirt wiggles quite nicely when I move.
My shoes are vintage as well. Quite a few years ago a shop here in Chicago had found a shop in southern Illinois that had been left as though time stood still. I was able to pick up 3 pairs of brand new, never been worn, vintage shoes. This pair is from the 1940's. One of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own.
A close up of the velvet applique on my sweater. I think she is so sweet.
So there you have it, a few boring pictures of me in what I wore today.
Hope your weekend is going well!
Rhonda

  1. I think the skirt looks great on you!

How lucky to find that fabulous pair of vintage shoes, as well. I have a similar pair but only "vintage inspired".
