Sunday Night Reflections

More often than not, the Sunday Night Reflection post is for me. They represent something I needed to be reminded of, something I need to think about, or just a piece of inspiration that I needed. And if it speaks to another, all the better.
This week, actually just a few days ago, I received some information that has the potential of changing my life in a way that I never would have dreamed possible, short of a catastrophic event. The information is more like the realization of a nightmare than a dream. But like any dream...or nightmare, we eventually awake, reality sets in, and we begin to deal with whatever it is that has been put in front of us. Nothing is definitive at this point and I hope that in a few days, I will be told that the situation isn't as dire as initially thought.
When life becomes small, I think we become all the more grateful for all that we have. It is in the darkest moments that we are capable of seeing clearly what's most important, not with our eyes, but with our hearts.
