The Final Gathered Inset Addition/The Sleeves

So, the top began life like this, worn primarily under a ski jacket, but not that much. It almost went in the give away bag until I thought, hmmmmm.
First step, take off the collar.
 Next, cut out the neckline.
 Add the gathered inset.
The final step, chop the sleeves and add more gathered insets.
I had initially thought that I would take the sleeves off and completely restyle them, but then I thought, why not just chop them off? The top was tried on and I determined just how long I would like the sleeve to be. The fullness at the bottom of the sleeve was gathered up, but only in the center, not all the way around.
The top has a real harlequin look to it, but I think it's rather fun.
I think it has under gone quite the transformation. And I know I'll wear it so much more than I did before. If you have a t-shirt sitting around that you really aren't wearing, give it a try. I think you'll like the outcome!
