Fabulous Free Pattern Friday

Rather than the normal tutorial today, I decided to just post a few pictures. I'm so bad about getting something finished and then just quickly taking the pictures without me in the garment. So today we will revisit the vest I did a few weeks back, The Flipped Over Draped Vest.

Now for a few pictures.
Because there is a drawstring under the bust, the front and back panel can be worn so that the sides are open. This is how I usually wear it.

Or, you can move the gathering so that the sides are closed as below.
In the picture below, the sides are also closed. It makes a fun little vest to throw over a pair of leggings, a pair of jeans or even a pair of slacks. Hopefully the pictures give you a better idea of how it looks on the body.
And just one more quick picture. I had told you that I wanted to make the Perfect Travel Dress in a sweater knit. I rather like how it turned out. You can see the instructions on how to make this convertible dress here, http://rhondabuss.blogspot.com/2012/10/fabulous-free-pattern-friday_13.html .
If you do decide to give this dress a try in a sweater knit, please make sure that it is a very light weight knit that will drape well. If the fabric is at all thick, it will not gather up as it should and will be rather bulky.
That's it for my little dog and pony show today! Hope you've had a great day and that this is the start of a wonderful weekend.
