A Few Thoughts On Paco's Treky Dress

Good Morning Everyone!!! The Wednesday Showcase post is coming up and I have two incredible ladies to introduce you to....as usual, but I wanted to first of all say thank you for all the lovely compliments on Paco's Treky dress. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
A number of you asked a few questions. One question was what fabric did I use. It's a knit. The dress should be made from a knit fabric. My fabric is just a plain cotton knit. I wish it had a little Lycra in it as the Lycra helps the fabric to hold its shape a bit better.
I was also asked about the alteration I made on the shoulder and also about the closure I did with the loops and the buttons. I love the dress so much that I would not mind having another so I thought I would do a step by step post of my process if you would like. I can also show you how I sewed the yoke facing so that I had minimal hand stitching. Just leave a comment on this post and let me know if you would like for me to do this.
Thanks again for all of the lovely compliments, but I must say that the credit goes to Paco. He really did create a lovely pattern.

  4. I love the dress, Rhonda. Your blog is great too. I have also had trouble finding an invisible zipper to match. My solution is to paint a matching nail polish over the zipper pull, since that's all that is visible anyway.
