Too Late, Too Late For A Very Important Date!

Remember this necklace? It was one of my Fabulous Free Pattern Friday posts. You can find the instructions here. The first challenge for Sew Weekly was to make a garment inspired by an accessory. I immediately thought about this necklace. The problem was that the necklace was in Chicago and I was in Colorado. I thought my problem was solved when my husband went back, but mother nature had a different idea when she dumped a big snow storm on Chicago. His flight was canceled and the necklace remained in Chicago. Finally, he made it back and I was hoping that I would make it just under the deadline, but evidently I didn't as my post was never published. So, I'll share it with you.
I found a wonderful knit at Denver Fabrics that matches the necklace perfectly. By the way, if you're ever in Denver, Colorado, this fabric store is a must.

Just wait until I tell you how simple this dress was to make. I'll share it on Friday. Believe it or not, it's just a couple of rectangles.
Check back on Friday for the instructions!!!
