OOTD

I know today is Tuesday and that I should be doing a post for the Master Sewing Certification Program. I do have something to post and I will do it tomorrow. Having a house guest has taken a little more of my time than I anticipated, so I'm a little behind.
For now I thought I would share a few pictures of what I wore and where we went. One of my favorite places is the Milwaukee Art Museum. The building was designed by Santiago Calatrava and it is magnificent. A nice little artsy picture of me :)
This outfit is one you've seen before, if you've followed the blog for some time. The skirt is part of the Fabulous Free Pattern Friday series and you can see the original post here, http://rhondabuss.blogspot.com/2011/09/fabulous-free-pattern-fridaysa-little.html
This is Alex. He came to us when he was 17 years old. He's now 29. Do I ever feel old!
We had a little fun shooting a few pictures outside the building.

As I said, the building is magnificent. The wings, or sails, whatever they are, they actually move. They can be opened, as you see in the picture below, or closed.
Here's a little information about the building, http://www.mam.org/info/details/calatrava.php . If you are
ever in the Chicago or Milwaukee area, I strongly suggest a visit to the museum.
The exhibit that we saw today was Kadinsky: A Retrospective

If you live anywhere within driving distance of the museum, I HIGHLY recommend seeing the exhibit. I came home pumped full of inspiration. The exhibit runs through September 1, 2014.
Ironically, I received a number of compliments again today. No Sarah Jessica Parker references, but I thought this one was rather nice, "You look as though the artist (Kadinsky) designed the outfit especially for you." I think that's pretty nice! Seems like the gods are on my side this week ;) Maybe it's the curly hair!!!!
Hope you've had a great day too!!
Rhonda

  8. Love your outfit! And I think it's great that your exchange students are still such a big part of your life. I loved being an exchange student and it always made me sad that my exchange family lost touch once I came back to the US.
