Born Free is a global initiative to end the transmission of HIV from mother to child. I first read about the initiative in the May issue of Vogue magazine. The fabrics were designed by a Kenyan artist. The designers who were chosen are mothers and the collection was released on Mother's Day 2014.
Here's a look at the ad campaign.

Vogue has put together a video series that is powerful. Each of the videos are short, a little over 3 minutes long. You can find them here, http://video.vogue.com/watch/born-free-series-trailer, and you can read the entire article here, http://www.vogue.com/magazine/article/born-free-initiative-fight-against-aids/#1
The goal of the initiative is to end mother to child transmission of HIV by December of 2015.
Something that I learned from hosting exchange students, is that mothers are the same the world over. They may have a very different culture, eat different food, wear different clothes, but their heart is the same, they love their children and want the best for them. I hope that you'll enjoy learning about this initiative as much as I did.
