Monday Morning Inspiration

Happy Monday Everyone!!! You may have noticed that I have been missing in action for a few days. I had a very big personal task that required a huge amount of work and attention (not sewing related sadly). As it always seems to be, my abilities didn't quite match my desire as I had hoped to be able to continue to blog, but by the time the evening rolled around, I was just too exhausted. The good news is that my hard work paid off and a big burden is about to be lifted off my shoulders. Yea!!!
So on to a little inspiration to start off this new week! I looked at an email that I received from Pinterest and I found a posting of these pictures. They are from the November 2013 issue of Vogue Brazil. Who would know more about vibrant prints and mixing of prints than the Brazilians? I must warn you, this is very over the top, but the patterns and the colors are just so beautiful.

Okay, so you may wonder who in the world could wear such a mix of prints. I was in the grocery store yesterday and just happened to notice the April edition of  "O"magazine. Check out this mix of prints.
I absolutely love the shoes with the skirt.
Inside the magazine, they offer these skirts with the mix of printed shoes. What they recommend is to keep the colors complimentary and the top simple and solid. Sorry about the poor quality photo.
Now if you would like to go all out wild, I found this pair of shoes from Dolce and Gabbana. Wild and wonderful!!! Notice that they are paired with a polka dot skirt.
Hope your week has a little something wild and wonderful in store for you. Hey, we only live once!!!
Rhonda

  1. Love the mixing of patterns...It is something so simple in that concept. It also makes those who have done this for so long because they had to or thought they had no since of style, feel right at home... Who Knew! LOL!

  2. Oh, that photo shoot is the most inspiration I have seen in ages. There is something a bit Klimt about it too. Thank you for sharing this. I love the animal print and the pineapple skirt. Wonderful!
