Monday Morning Inspiration

Last week I shared with all of you a new to me designer, Antonio Marras. I was so taken with his 2014 Spring collection. As it turns out, he got his big start as a designer for Kenzo. The very talented Ester Cellucci, left a comment and gave me a little information about Mr. Marras. Rather than base his studio in Milan as many well known Italian designers do, he has chosen to stay close to his roots and has based his work in his home town of Sardinia. The more I find out about this designer, the more in awe I am becoming. Ester suggested that I take a look at the Kenzo collections from 2003-2011. I must confess that I have not gotten that far yet, as I am still looking at recent collections. What I have chosen to share with you today is his pre-fall collection of 2013. It is beautiful. His use of shape, texture and pattern is remarkable. The embroideries are beautiful. My suggestion is to take your time and really look at each piece. I see a little something more each time I scroll through. I have not included all of the pieces from this collection. If you would like to see more, you can find them here, http://patternbank.com/antonio-marras-pre-fall-2013-collection/

I hope you have enjoyed this second look at the incredible talent of Antonio Marras as I have.
Wishing you all a week full of inspiration and wonderful discoveries!
Rhonda

    1. Hi Bunny! I am in love with this man. The second dress is one of my favorites. Love the solid back and the mix of prints in the front. Fabulous!! I want to go to Sardinia :)

  2. Jut want to add: we worry so much about pants fitting. I notice lately that pants are way oversized with dropped crotches, baggy legs, waists falling despite existing, etc.
