Two years ago I had the opportunity to take a class with Shingo Sato. By far, this was the most inspirational and informative class I have ever taken. Shingo is a delightful man who has a great sense of humor and absolutely loves what he does. Even more though, he wants to pass his knowledge on to anyone who is willing to listen.
The pieces seem labor intensive
Take a look at this video. It's only 5 minutes long. You will walk away amazed if you have not seen this before.
Here is another video of pieces done in Shingo's master class. Watch closely. There is a jacket with a spider done to look think it is in a web! Just incredible.
Here are a few pieces designed by Ester Cellucci. She has not taken an in person class with Shingo, only a class on the web and this is what she has created.
http://pinterest.com/estercellucci/. I must warn you though that the inspiration on her pages can really draw you in and you'll loose all track of time!!!
If you think that you would like to give transformational reconstruction a try, you can find the book here, http://www.centerforpatterndesign.com/products/transformational-reconstruction. The book comes with two teaching CD's. The information found on these CD's cannot be found on Youtube. This book will give you the opportunity to take an entire seminar with Shingo without ever leaving your home. A great opportunity.
Well, I'm inspired!! I hope you are too.
Have a wonderful week.
